Islam in the Modern World Forum

The American Islamic Institute of Antelope Valley will be holding a forum entitled, “Islam – In the Modern World,” on Friday, September 30, 2011, from 7 pm to 9 pm in the Cafeteria at Antelope Valley College, 3041 West Avenue K, Lancaster, California.
Panelists will include:
- Saadia Khan, Civic Outreach Coordinator, Muslim Public Affairs Council
- Dr. Sayed Jumaa, Muslim Scholar and Anchor at Al-Ameen TV
- Abdul-Wahab Omeira, Muslim Imam and Community Activist
- Kamal Al-Khativ, Ammerican Islamic Institute of Antelope Valley
John Vento, Professor of Political Science at Antelope Valley College will be the moderator.
Mistress of Ceremony for the evening will be Gloria Dizmang, Adjunct Professor of History at Antelope Valley College.
The purpose of the forum is to educate non-Muslims about Islam. The public is invited and questions are welcomed. There will be refreshments following.
